About the local
The largest IBEW hall on PSEG property.
Local 94 represents members across New Jersey’s electric, gas, generation, and line-clearance work. The office sits in Hightstown, just off Exit 8 of the Turnpike — in the middle of the system we keep running.
The steward is the first call
Your steward is how the contract lives on the property. If they do not know, the hall does not know. Bring them the facts, the language, and the remedy you want.
Dues run the fight
Every member pays. The local share funds negotiations, arbitration, lost time, steward training, court, and affiliation with the AFL-CIO and Central Labor Councils.
Structure
Built like the property we cover.
- Eight full-time staff — the President / Business Manager, six business agents, and a clerical administrator.
- Nine executive board seats drawn from every branch of the local — central, fossil, nuclear, gas, distribution, and line clearance.
- More than 150 representatives — chief stewards and shop stewards in departments and locations across the state.
We are not the only union on PSEG property. UA Local 855 represents the largest number of gas workers. UWUA 601 represents customer service and meter readers. OPEIU 153 represents clerical and engineering technicians. We work alongside them. We do not apologize for being the largest.

Represent every member so the family feels it.
The goal of this local is simple: do as much as we can for each IBEW member so you and your family enjoy the benefit of the card. Regular monthly meetings exist so you can talk to officers, raise problems, hear policy, and vote. An empty chair does not bargain.
Beyond the contract, membership carries Union Plus benefits — credit, mortgages, legal consults, and discounts on union-made goods. Politically, Local 94 works through the New Jersey AFL-CIO and COPE. Register. Vote. A white COPE card is available from your steward or the hall.
